SUNSET JAZZ PICNIC to benefit Grandmother Project

Join us in the beautiful nature park of Torretta de’ Massimi, a 150-acre privately-owned family estate with easy parking and public transport access, where safety and social distancing will combine with the perfect outdoor setting for a relaxing Sunset Picnic, accompanied by a wondrous LIVE Jazz set performed by internationally accomplished singer Tonia Szkurhan and pianist Ariel Hassan, followed by an entertaining comedy act by renowned American comedian Alexia Murray. The event, to benefit Grandmother Project (GMP), is a proud collaboration of American Exchange Rome/"Free Exchange",  American International Club of Rome (AICR)  & Vitala Festival. The evening will include an outdoor presentation by GMP Communication Advisor, Francesca D’Asaro Biondo and special guest Judi Aubel (Grandmother Project Founder), to illuminate the mission, goals and amazing successes of this inspiring USA non-profit initiative - founded in 2005.

Grandmother Project’s mission is to promote the health, well-being and rights of women and children in developing countries through grandmother-inclusive and intergenerational programs that build on communities’ cultural values and resources. Elders are a guiding light in all societies.

Please bring your own picnic basket + blanket. For convenience, all drinks will be available directly for purchase at the venue.

Donation = €20 per person, under 16 free (€20 donation = €10 to cover nature park entry & help defray costs of the live entertainment + min. donation €10 to benefit GMP). Additional contributions to GMP are most graciously accepted and acknowledged through the GMP website (and USA tax deductible too).
