About the event
The American Club of Rome is honored to support an immersive literary and musical experience as part of the International Classical Music Festival of the Riviera di Ulisse.
Step into the shadows and wonders of Dante Alighieri's Inferno through a powerful Lectura Dantis—a live reading of some of the most iconic cantos of the Divina Commedia recited by Giuseppe Pestillo. A live musical internlude by guitarrist Sandro Sposito will accompany the live reading.
A single actor’s voice will guide the audience through Dante’s vivid and timeless verses, bringing to life the tormented souls, mythological figures, and moral reflections that define the Inferno. The music weaves through the reading, offering moments of meditation and resonance.
Set against the symbolic backdrop of the Riviera di Ulisse, this performance evokes both Dante’s journey and the legendary voyage of Ulysses—two seekers of truth navigating perilous realms in search of knowledge, redemption, and the soul’s ultimate salvation.
